Fibre
The flax used to make our linen is grown in France, where the flax plant needs minimal water, energy, pesticides, and fertilisers to grow, making it one of the most naturally sustainable fibres. Silk is a filament fibre which means the fibre length is very long. This is why silk is both softer and stronger than all other natural fibres. Our premium-quality silk is sourced and spun in China.
Fabric
Silk and linen blend woven in 2/2 twill creates a medium-weight fabric with excellent drape. It has a beautiful combination of the natural characteristics of linen with a touch of the luxurious sheen of silk. The yarn is dyed before weaving so we can combine different colours of yarn in the warp and weft to create beautiful melange colours in the finished fabric. The final step is to wash the garments to soften the fabric. Our garments are pre-washed for a relaxed and laundered appearance.
Factory
We have been working with our partners based in China to develop this fabric all the way from the yarn to the finished product. We have been working with Cong and Sunny since 2014 and they have been specializing in linen textiles for generations. Their innovation and impeccable quality mean we can bring our ideas to life and develop special woven fabrics using all-natural fibres.
