DELIVERY

We use Royal Mail Tracked for all our UK deliveries and offer two delivery options:

Standard Delivery – £4.95

Standard delivery costs £4.95 irrespective of the weight of the parcel. Items should ordinarily arrive within 2 days from despatch (excluding Sundays) but please allow up to 5 days for delivery.

Next Day Delivery – £8.95

We do offer a next day delivery service for £8.95, with orders of in-stock items placed on weekdays before 8pm and on bank holiday Mondays before 1pm, guaranteed to arrive the next day.

Our next day service is available for orders placed on weekdays for delivery Monday to Saturday. Unfortunately, we are not able to make deliveries on Sundays or on bank holiday Mondays.

We aim to cover all areas with our next day service, however, we cannot guarantee this in certain areas. These include the Isle of Man, Isle of Wight, Channel Islands, the Scottish Highlands and Islands, Dumfries and Galloway, counties north of West Lothian and Northern Ireland.

Please be aware that if you have requested next day delivery your items will be picked almost immediately so the address cannot be changed. Orders for standard delivery can be amended for up to 2 hours after the order has been placed. However, if the order has already been processed by our warehouse, then unfortunately, no changes can be made.

Once your order has been despatched, you will receive an email from us with your unique Royal Mail tracking link. This way you can follow the progress of your POETRY delivery from our warehouse in Leicestershire to your front door. You can also manage your delivery with Royal Mail should you not be in. Simply enter your postcode once you opened the tracking link and you have the following options:

– Amend the delivery date
– Deliver to another address
– Choose a Safeplace
– Collect your parcel from a Post Office or delivery office

For both standard and next-day deliveries, if you are not in and have not requested any changes, your postman will leave a card with details on how to rearrange delivery or collect from a nearby Post Office. Alternatively, your parcel may be left in a safe place if deemed appropriate.

Our deliveries do not require a signature, but due to the size of our parcels, they will not fit through the letterbox.

Despatch Times and Availability

All in-stock items for standard delivery are usually despatched within 48 hours of being accepted, arriving with UK customers within 5 working days.

If a style is out of stock because we are awaiting delivery, that will be indicated when add an item into your basket. You can pre-order that style and you will be advised of the latest expected despatch date when you add the item into your basket.

If a style is out of stock because we have sold out of, you are still able to place a back-order in case that item comes back into stock at a later date. If we are unable to fulfil your order within 28 days, we will send you an email to let you know.

An item on pre-order or back-order will not delay the delivery of an in-stock item.

You will only be charged postage once, no matter how many parcels are sent to fulfil your original order.

All orders, of in-stock items, items on pre-order or back-order are only charged for on despatch. We do not charge when you place your order.

Please note that next day delivery is only available for in-stock items and applies to orders placed before 8pm on weekdays.

The stated delivery timeframe is approximate. Goods will be delivered to the address provided at checkout.

All in-stock items are usually despatched in a single parcel, with some exceptions such as footwear, which is always sent separately. Items on backorder will be despatched as soon as they become available. You will only be charged once for postage, regardless of how many parcels your order is sent in.

ORDERING

Payment Methods

We currently accept Visa, Mastercard and PayPal. Card payments are subject to a £5,000 limit.

Your credit/debit card or PayPal will be charged for the value of the goods only when your items are despatched. Please note that any items on pre-order will only be charged once they are despatched.

Contract

Once you have placed an order, we will send you an email confirming that your order has been received, but this is not confirmation that your offer to purchase the goods has been accepted. A contract between you and POETRY for the sale of our products will only exist once an order has been despatched to you. A separate email will be sent to you confirming the despatch of the item(s) and therefore the charge to your credit/debit card or PayPal account.

Prices and availability of goods are subject to change without notice. All prices are quoted in Pounds Sterling and are inclusive of VAT. The advertised delivery charge will be added to your order value.
