Fibre
Our cotton was grown in Benin, Burkina Faso and Greece. Our hemp fibres come from France. Similar in character to linen, hemp is exceptionally strong and naturally softens with washing, developing a beautifully relaxed handle over time. It is naturally breathable, moisture-absorbent and its insulating qualities help to keep you cool in summer and warm in winter. Often referred to as a ‘super fibre’, hemp is a fast-growing and efficient crop that requires minimal water, fertilisers and pesticides to grow.
Fabric
Our hemp and cotton fabric has the authentic look of traditional denim, enhanced by the distinctive character and texture of hemp. After spinning the yarn, half of the yarns are dyed with indigo, while the remaining yarns are left undyed in ecru. The traditional denim appearance is created by weaving the indigo and ecru yarns together in a 3/1 twill structure, forming the familiar diagonal texture of classic denim. The fabric is then sewn into a garment and washed to gently remove excess indigo dye, achieving the desired softness and a naturally worn-in appearance.
Factory
Located in Tunisia, our denim makers are experts in every aspect of denim, combining craftsmanship and experience to ensure each piece is beautifully constructed and perfectly laundered.
