Fibre
The flax used to make our linen is grown in France, where the flax plant needs minimal water, energy, pesticides, and fertilisers to grow, making it one of the most naturally sustainable fibres. Our cotton has been grown in India and processed and spun in China. Organic cotton is certified by the Global Organic Textile Standard (GOTS) from the organic fibre source to the spinning of the yarn. GOTS is the leading standard for organic fibres, including ecological and social criteria and is backed by independent third-party certification. We are working on extending the certification to cover the entire textile supply chain.
Fabric
A Beautiful and soft combination of linen and cotton yarns knitted together. Yarns are dyed before creating the fabric which gives them solid even colouring. Each panel is knitted to the shape of the garment which therefore creates less wastage. Panels and trims are attached using a hand-linking machine, resulting in a premium, high-quality garment.
Factory
The knits are produced in close collaboration with one of our longest standing suppliers, a small knitter based in Dongguan, China. We have enjoyed working with owner Robert and his dedicated team, Ceci and Carmen, for over 20 years. Their knowledge, experience and attention to detail is second to none. We are proud to have them as part of our team.
