We chose to work with Boldrini Selleria because of its distinctive style and pursuit of excellence. Founded in 1955 in Tuscany, the brand is now under the creative direction of Giancarlo Fatichi and Luca Boldrini, and continues to craft timeless, practical designs using premium vegetable-tanned leather from Santa Croce sull'Arno. Silk is a filament fibre which means the fibre length is very long. This is why silk is both softer and stronger than all other natural fibres. Our premium-quality silk is sourced and spun in China.
Fabric
Our habotai silk is a breathable lightweight fabric woven in a plain weave structure. The type of fabric originates from Japan and was used for silk lining or in kimono making. The fabric is piece dyed which means dyed after weaving or knitting the fabric, this creates a solid colouring throughout the fabric. The silk garment has been sandwashed to achieve a soft hand feel.
Factory
The garments are made by our supplier in China region where silk has been produced for thousands of years. Huzhou city where the factory is located is often called the “hometown of silk” as it is considered to be one of the birthplaces for silk cultivation and still produces one of the best quality silks in the world.
