Fibre
TENCEL™ Lyocell is known for its innovative closed loop production process. Wood pulp is transformed into cellulosic fibres, while more than 99.8% of the solvent are recovered and fed back into the loop, resulting in close-to-zero wastage. The wood used as raw material for all TENCEL™ Lyocell fibres is sourced from certified (FSC® or PEFC certification*) or controlled wood sources. TENCEL™ Lyocell and Modal fibres are certified as biodegradable and compostable** Our wool and cotton fibres are sourced from Australia. *FSC® (FSC-C041246) or PEFC (PEFC/06-33-92) certification **LENZING™ Lyocell standard fibers are certified by TÜV AUSTRIA as biodegradable in soil, freshwater and marine environments, and compostable under home and industrial conditions. TENCEL™ is a trademark of Lenzing AG
Fabric
This fabric is a beautiful blend of cotton, lyocell and wool fibres, combining the distinctive qualities of each. Lyocell brings a fluid drape and elegant softness, cotton adds a smooth and comfortable handle, while wool provides natural warmth and texture. The fabric is woven in a fine 2/2 twill structure, with subtle diagonal lines running across the surface, revealing the characteristic detail of the twill weave. The yarn is dyed before weaving, allowing carefully selected colours to be combined to create sophisticated dogtooth, gingham and check patterns.
Factory
We have been working with our partners based in China to develop this fabric all the way from the yarn to the finished product. We have been working with Cong and Sunny since 2014 and they have been specializing in linen textiles for generations. Their innovation and impeccable quality mean we can bring our ideas to life and develop special woven fabrics using all-natural fibres.
