Fibre
Our cotton is grown in Brazil.
Our kapok fibres are grown in Indonesia. Kapok is a natural, silky fibre harvested from the seed pods of the kapok tree. Exceptionally lightweight and naturally hydrophobic, kapok is lighter than cotton and brings a soft, airy quality to the fabric. A distinctive feature of kapok fabric is the presence of tiny kapok seeds, visible as natural brown flecks throughout the material. Harvested from fast-growing, low-input trees, kapok fibres require no fertilisers or pesticides during cultivation.
The flax used to make our linen is grown in France, where the flax plant needs minimal water, energy, pesticides, and fertilisers to grow.
Fabric
The combination of cotton, kapok and linen creates a lightweight fabric with a beautifully soft handle and natural texture. The fabric features decorative jacquard motifs, created by weaving together lighter and darker threads to form an intricate, custom designed pattern.
Factory
This style is made by our Chinese supplier, who specialises in producing fabric and clothing using kapok fibres. Their expertise in working with natural materials ensures both comfort and sustainability in every piece.
