Fibre
TENCEL™ Lyocell is known for its innovative closed loop production process. Wood pulp is transformed into cellulosic fibres, while more than 99.8% of the solvent are recovered and fed back into the loop, resulting in close-to-zero wastage. The wood used as raw material for all TENCEL™ Lyocell fibres is sourced from certified (FSC® or PEFC certification*) or controlled wood sources. TENCEL™ Lyocell and Modal fibres are certified as biodegradable and compostable**
Our hemp fibres come from China. Hemp has similar properties to linen, it is very strong and softens through washing. It is natural, breathable, absorbs moisture and dye easily, has anti-bacterial properties, is an effective insulator keeping you cool in summer and warm in winter. Hemp is a fast and efficiently growing fibre that requires almost no fertilisers and pesticides and very little water. Often called super fibre hemp is great for the environment and is extremely durable.
Our wool is produced, processed and spun in China.
*FSC® (FSC-C041246) or PEFC (PEFC/06-33-92) certification
**LENZING™ Lyocell standard fibres are certified by TÜV AUSTRIA as biodegradable in soil, freshwater and marine environments, and compostable under home and industrial conditions.
TENCEL™ is a trademark of Lenzing AG
Fabric
Our lyocell, wool and hemp jersey fabric combines the cool touch of lyocell and hemp with the softness and warmth of wool. It is a great fabric for achieving effortless lightweight drape and comfort. After knitted into jersey fabric, cut and sewn, the garments are washed to give the fabric a softer handle as well as a more casual appearance. The fabric will continue to soften with every wash.
Factory
The yarn, fabric and garments are all made by our supplier based in Rushan, to the north of Shanghai. The garment factory is powered by solar panels and focuses on producing environmentally-friendly clothing using hemp. We are proud to have worked with this supplier and their team for more than ten years.
