Fibre
The alpacas are responsibly farmed in the Peruvian highlands, where the spinning and dyeing of the yarn also occurs. Alpacas' impact is light on the land they graze which makes them one of the most environmentally friendly animals.
Silk is a filament fibre which means the fibre length is very long. This is why silk is both softer and stronger than all other natural fibres. Our premium-quality silk is sourced in China.

Fabric
Our soft and unique alpaca and silk boucle yarn is specially designed to avoid the use of synthetic materials. Bouclé yarn is typically made by looped fibre along a fine synthetic thread, but in our yarn, the synthetic is replaced by pure silk. The yarn is hank dyed which is a time-consuming process but ensures a depth of colour and a softer hand feel while keeping the natural properties of the fibre. Each panel is knitted to the shape of the garment which therefore creates less wastage. Panels and trims are attached using a hand-linking machine, resulting in a premium, high-quality garment.

Factory
The knits are produced in close collaboration with one of our longest standing suppliers, a small knitter based in Dongguan, China. We have enjoyed working with owner Robert and his dedicated team, Ceci and Carmen, for over 20 years. Their knowledge, experience and attention to detail is second to none. We are proud to have them as part of our team.
